fall must haves

Gold Watch - it seems like everyone is choosing a nice gold watch as their go-to accessory this fall. The leader of this gold watch trend? Michael Kors, of course!
2. Fur Vest – during these cooler months, I am loving the fur vest. Wear a fur vest over a simple long sleeve t-shirt for an ultra-chic yet simple to pull off look.
3. Riding Boots - since buying the perfect brown boots at Coach a few years ago, I have been craving a great pair of black boots. I finally stumbled upon these amazing black Cadley riding boots by Juicy Couture in New York.
4. Deep Red Nail Polish - I am a huge fan of pink nail polish for the spring & summer months but have decided to trade them in for a nice, deep red. If you have an Ulta Beauty store near you, try their brand name nail polish in 34 Plum Street for only $5.
5. Lace Up Booties – I found a pair very similar to the pair shown above at Nordstrom Rack and they are absolutely adorable. They are the perfect shoe to wear to pull off a more Western style look for fall.
6. Double Finger Rings – I have been loving the double finger rings ever since seeing Lauren Conrad’s personalized double finger ring but lately, this trend seems to be popping up everywhere. LF Stores had a great selection of double rings when I went in New York but online, I feel that Topshop has an amazing selection.
7. Long-Sleeved Lace Dress – countless numbers of FSU students showed up in a fabulous lace dress for the CLUTCH Magazine release party which has left me craving one of my own.
What are your fall 2010 must-haves?

Fashion New's

NEW YORK – From Adolfo to Yohji Yamamoto, Women's Wear Daily has recorded the A to Z of fashion over the last 100 years. There are the suffragettes, flappers, career women in pantsuits and, later, miniskirts.
Fashion is an industry that's always on the hunt for the next big thing. Yet, in researching a new book about a century of style, "WWD 100 Years, 100 Designers," executive editor Bridget Foley found some constants.
"So many designers, when they talk about their work talk about women first," Foley says. "There's an ongoing idea and a belief among the very best designers that you have to push forward, but also that you also always have to consider what women will wear."
For all the declarations of trends, including hemlines, silhouettes and embellishments, Foley finds that most garments — be they skinny jeans or pencil skirts — are consistently available year after year, even when they're not winning headlines.
And, she adds, however modern and urban we like to think black is, women have been wearing it — regularly — since the 1920s.
The power of buzz has been around even longer.
Some of the designers included in the book were chosen because they literally changed the shape of fashion: Paul Poiret, Claire McCardell and Christian Dior, among them. But someone such as Gabrielle Chanel (known, of course, as Coco) really created an entire culture around a brand.
A 1965 WWD quote about Chanel: "Chanel is more than a look — it's an institution — it's a belief and a way of life — which this clever and very crafty artiste has done. She knows that her ever hungry Fashion Barbies are women and girls who eat and drink and dance — and love."
Winnowing down this list of most influential designers to 100 was harder than it sounds, especially balancing new talent like Jason Wu against Dior and Oscar de la Renta, Foley says.
"Is this all good fashion?" she wonders. "I'm not sure it's all good fashion, but it's all representative fashion, and much of it is really good."
Others who made the cut: Giorgio Armani, Cristobal Balenciaga, Andre Courreges, Francisco Costa, Calvin Klein, Charles James, Norma Kamali, Laura and Kate Mulleavy of Rodarte, Donna Karan, Madeline Vionnet, and both Gianni and Donatella Versace.

HOT FALL ACCESSORIES

Snuggle-worthy materials don’t sacrifice warmth for style when paired with skinny jeans and a blazer
Minimalist shapes pop against sleek outfits and black-and-white patterns.

The dainty fabric reveals its tough side when covering biker boots and oversize bangles.

Black leather and thick chains transform the demure into the daring.

More fashion for fall 2010, trend for my trendsetter

We saw the military look this summer, and it’s about to head on over to fall as well. Look for chic and feminine military-inspired pieces.

Lengthy, flowy dresses were all the rage in London as well as New York. These might need a little getting used to, but they are definitely dramatic!

Sensual, feminine, 50s inspired dresses are back, and the beautiful A-lines are just perfect for fall!

Fur was a big hit at New York Fashion Week for fall earlier this year, but will it actually catch on? I’m definitely not a fur wearer myself…but maybe some faux fur pieces will catch my eye.

Ah…how we love layering! And this fall, layering your faves is back in full swing. Look for pieces in shades of gray, stone, and beige.

With all the black and gray gracing the NY, Paris, Milan, and London runways, sultry sheer blouses stood out and made a big statement.
Long, tailored coats are back in full swing this season with a hint of the blues. Look for dark blue, navy blue, and cobalt shades that will definitely stand out against the otherwise drab black.

i think its time for tips for the men.... i can tell yall better than i can show yall... we all kno yall a lil slow

It's no secret that when it comes to fashion & style, most men are in the dark about the do's and don'ts.  So for those fashionably-challenged men out there, here is a list to assist you in this foreign land:
  1. Do ask for a woman's help.  If you aren't sure what is in style for the season or if a certain shirt goes with a pair of pants, ask your nearest female counterpart (friend, girlfriend or that cute girl at the office) for aid.  She will be more than happy you asked and even more happy to help you.
  2. Always have a great pair of black (or dark blue) jeans or trousers.  These can be paired with a trengy skrit for a fun night out on the town or with a black jacket to dress it up for a business meeting
  3. Do realize that dressing up does not mean wearing an Abercrombie & Fitch shirt with a pair of jeans.  Although this is a step up from most guy's wardrobe, all you need to assist you is a current issue of GQ or Esquire for the season's latest style fashions.
  4. An important feature of style in a man is to choose garments that fit properly. When men try to squeeze into sizes that are too small for them, this detracts from the overall impression and can be as bad as clothing that is too large. The variety of clothing on offer in the fashion world means there is no real excuse for a man not to dress with style.
  5. Please, please, please do NOT wear socks with sandals!  Does any more really need to be said?
  6. On the topic of socks, white tennies with black socks is another no-no.  (Especially when paired with shorts.)  A good rule of thumb when pairing socks and shoes (and this relates to dress shoes as well) is to keep it consistent: black shoes - black socks, brown shoes - brown socks, etc.
  7. Short sleeve, button down shirts with ties is a BIG don't!  (Please refer to #3 for further assistance.)
  8. Another don't - the sweater vest - unless it was a gift from the grandkids.  (And even then, take whatever means necessary to wear it only when absolutely necessary - ie, when the gift-giver is visiting you at your home and/or you will not be making any public appearances.)
  9. On the other hand, a cashmere sweater is a must do for every man.  It pairs nicely with jeans or trousers and updates your wardrobe from geek to sheik in an instant.
  10. Do make it look effortless.  (Use the KISS model -keep it simple stupid!)  You can't go wrong with a great pair of jeans from Buckle, a clean cut tee from Banana Republic and a great pair of casual shoes from Piperlime.  (Visit the Buckle and Banana Republice at the Chandler Fashion Center for live fashion assistance.)

Katy Perry is looking darling, if she was ice skating but she is on the red carpet (white carpet). The black lacy appliqué over a sheer top, with a flirty white shirt……. She just needs to lose those corny shoes smh, wear is her stylist

Ka$ha attempt to be edgy but fails, and she ends up looking like a street-walker, and you can miss the Snookie bump with a thigh-length braid vamp makeup and cheap platform shoes …. Please go back home lol

Selena Gomez slips into something sliver and oh-so-sexy, she works it in a shimmery strapless bustier from Reeem Acra Resort, she sets it off with a thigh high slit and sassy Sergio Rossi heels….. They grow up so fast
